Vibration Meter can now measure temperature.

The recently launched HS-620 Vibration Monitoring Kit from Hansford
Sensors Ltd., now has an additional model in the range. The new
HS-630 has all the facilities of the previous model but now also
offers a fast and reliable way to measure spot temperature.
The new HS-630
Vibration/Temperature Monitoring Kit contains a compact, portable
digital vibration meter operating with a hand-held probe, together
with a non-contact temperature measuring sensor aided by a laser
locator beam. It is designed for maintenance technicians to use
to monitor vibration levels and spot temperature on important
plant and machinery, helping to find potential problems and so
avoid future plant failure.
The new kit
will prove invaluable to engineers in monitoring the trend of
vibration and temperature on motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans and
all rotating machinery. Ideal as an entry-level unit, the meter's
portability means that measurements can be taken in-situ in remote
parts of the factory.
Conforming
to the ISO 10816-3 Machine Vibration Standard, the unit can measure
bearing condition and levels of velocity, acceleration and displacement,
covering any of the four ISO machine group options ranging from
large 300 KW machines (Group 1) down to simple pumps rated at
15 KW (Group 4). It has a 'HOLD' facility where the display will
indicate the alarm status shown as 'OK', 'Vibration Alert' or
'Danger'.
The vibration
meter is powered by an internal rechargeable battery which can
operate for 48 hours continuously. Battery condition is displayed
as an icon. The unit comes complete with both a mains powered
and an in-car battery charger.
The HS-630
kit which is available ex-stock, includes the vibration/temperature
meter, the hand-held probe, a magnetic mount, mains and in-car
chargers, an instruction manual, all contained within a protective
carrying case.
