MEET THE TEAM
Martin Armson heads up the US operations for Hansford Sensors based in one of the fastest growing states, South Carolina. Martin has a Mechanical Engineering degree and wrote his thesis on the spectral analysis of tractor mounted equipment.
Martin first became involved in the vibration monitoring industry when he started working at Spectral Dynamics in the 1980’s, as well as DYMAC in their condition monitoring division. Since then Martin has worked with other leading brands such as: Sensonics, a turbine supervisory equipment manufacturer, Honeywell test and measurement instruments, MTS, current owners of PCB, and Danaher/Fortive, before joining Hansford Sensors in 2017.
Mike Howard works for STI who is a strategic partner for Hansford Sensors in the USA. Mike has been in vibration monitoring all his working life and is an expert on Hansford Sensors products. STI is based in League City, Texas and provides instrumentation to the condition monitoring industry.
Chris Hansford is the Managing Director of Hansford Sensors Ltd. Chris is a qualified Electro-Mechanical Engineer and has over 35 years experience in vibration and condition monitoring. At the start of his career, Chris was employed as a Design Engineer by a company that provided condition monitoring services to the power sector.
In 1986, Chris was involved in the formation of a sensor manufacturing company and as Managing Director, continued to run the business for 20 years. During this time Chris successfully grew the business, which enabled him to gain a wealth of commercial experience within the UK market. In 2006, Chris moved on to set-up Hansford Sensors Ltd, manufacturing accelerometers and ancillary equipment. The business has continued to grow from strength to strength and is now a global leader in its market. This has provided Chris with extensive international experience which he is using to continue to expand into new markets.
Simon Barber is the Operations Director for Hansford Sensors Ltd. Simon is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and has over 11 years of experience in the production of vibration monitoring equipment. Simon began his engineering career in 1985 working on various contracts including the maintenance of the buildings for blue chip companies. In 2000, Simon was employed by a local sensor manufacturing company as a Mechanical Engineer before moving into the position of Engineering/Production Manager.
Simon joined Chris at Hansford Sensors Ltd in 2006 as Operations Director and continues to provide support to the business in all areas of production and logistical management. Simon has extensive knowledge of the processes and procedures involved in manufacturing accelerometers and ancillary equipment. Simon is fortunate enough to manage a team of 16 members of staff who have many years of experience in the production of vibration monitoring equipment.
